High Protein Oatmeal
Serves 2
This higher protein oatmeal recipe incorporates eggs to increase the protein while still keeping the usual oatmeal texture, and ground flaxseed adds some healthy fat to the mix! For a more filling breakfast, enjoy topped with berries and either cottage cheese or plain yogurt. Nut butter is also a delicious oatmeal topping!
Ingredients:
3/4 cup oats
2 eggs
1/2 cup 1% (or skim) milk
1 Tbsp. ground flaxseed
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 ripe banana, mashed
Instructions:
Mix all ingredients together in a pot on the stove; turn to medium high heat.
Cook, stirring frequently, until mixture reaches normal oatmeal consistency and the eggs are no longer runny. This will take about 5 minutes.
Enjoy!

fitblrs:Here is my dinner its a vegetable frittata with cashew butter, dragon fruit, sweet potato "fries" I made from scratch with a pinch of oregano and a green smoothie made with kale, spinach and 100+ other green vegetables.
Me:Should I make my oatmeal with milk or with water.
